The Tech Radar is a list of capabilities, tools, and platforms, complemented by an assessment result, called ring assignment. We use four rings with the following semantics:
Keep as-is in the merged entity. The capability, tool, or platform is fit for purpose, performs well, and will continue to serve the combined organisation without significant change. No migration needed.
Needs further assessment before a decision can be made. Either the value is unclear, there is overlap with something from the other side, or it depends on outcomes from another workstream.
The current solution will be swapped out for a better alternative.
To be sunset and decommissioned. No longer fit for purpose in the merged entity.
